First wrapped and contained object.... the vespa.....

So there you go, one little vespa wrapped up in bubble wrap and then folded in hand dyed fabric and secured with a hand made badge!! Next one tonight!! On a roll!!

Hello!!! So sorry i've not posted anything for a while... good excuse though- i've had to prepare for a very scary seminar which is over now so I can officially forget about it!! Yey!! I've got more objects! So thanks to all the following people for the objects that they have sent me........... Keep them coming!!

Dye lab fun!!

I spent today in the dye labs dyeing fabrics to start wrapping my objects!! It was very exciting!! Here are just a few of my colours....

After a great tutorial on Friday morning I returned to my desk to find that the post man had been again!! So thanks to Guido Utermark from The Netherlands for this intriguing package.....

I am feeling very happy today as I got into the studio this morning to find a parcel on my desk!!! Yey! My first one!! So thanks to Liz Butler from West Yorkshire for sending me 3 really exciting objects AND a 4 page letter explaining each one! I couldn't believe it! And Liz you are very welcome to come and see my degree show in June! Thanks so much! Here they are.....

Then this afternoon I went to a talk at Bolton Museum by artist Tabitha Kyoko Moses. It was about her exhibition called 'The Lost and Found' which is on at the museum until April 28th and I would definately recommend a visit- fantastic!!

Trip to Pitt Rivers, Oxford!!

Today I went ona school trip to the Pitt Rivers Museum in Oxford. It is part of the University Museum of Natural History. There was some really exciting stuff.......

These first few objects have been donated by friends and family. I haven't recieved any post yet and am getting quite excited about getting my first object soon I hope!! Thanks so much to Rachael for giving me a kick start on my project! Right got to get drawing now!! :)

The following images are from my last project, and might make it a little clearer as to what I intend to do with all of the objects that I get sent. However I am going to introduce colour and also take the wrapped pieces through to design ideas for purses, wallets or maybe even jewellery. I don't want to think about that just yet!
